I did the W&P chapter a day last year and also fell behind regularly. Less of a slow read than a fits and starts read, but enjoyed the funny chats with strangers.
I've just read Winder's book, Parachute Women – all about the key women behind the Rolling Stones. I think I preferred the tightness of the approach in PPP but it'd likewise be a good read. I read it just before Marianne's death – a timely reminder of how cool & interesting she was in her own right.
Oh yes I think reading about her new book is actually how I found PPP. Definitely interested in checking out Parachute Women, I actually love group biographies. Also intrigued by her Marilyn book!
It’s a struggle! I also have a problem where all my library holds seem to be ready at once! Then I can’t get through them all & have to reborrow again 🫣

Always pushing the due dates with the library books….! Although I feel bad when I know it’s got a long waitlist 🫣
I’ve just started embracing that I need to return them and immediately put them on hold again haha
